Respected and much-in-demand economist Paul H. Brewbaker will talk us through local and national economic conditions expected to affect the AEC sectors.

Join us for an engaging economic update from Paul H. Brewbaker that will provide valuable insights into the current state and outlook of the national economy and its direct impact on the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. As the economy faces both national and regional challenges, this session will help industry professionals navigate critical issues, anticipate potential risks, and identify strategic opportunities for growth and resilience.

Subjects that will be covered include interest rates and inflation, global trade, supply chains, Hawaii's dependence on tourism, and more!

Paul H. Brewbaker is the Principal of TZ Economics, a Hawaii economics consultancy. His background in research on the regional economy and financial risk analytics stems from 25 years as a Hawaii commercial bank economist and executive. He is a graduate of Stanford University, did graduate work at the University of Wisconsin, and received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hawaii. He lectured extensively over several decades in economic theory and applied courses at Wisconsin and Hawaii campuses. He is a member of the American Economic Association, the American Finance Association, and the National Association for Business Economics, from which he holds the Certified Business Economist designation.

He is a graduate of Stanford University, did graduate work at the University of Wisconsin, and received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Hawaii. He lectured extensively over several decades in economic theory and applied courses at Wisconsin and Hawaii campuses. He is a member of the American Economic Association, the American Finance Association, and the National Association for Business Economics, from which he holds the Certified Business Economist designation.
