SMPS Hawaii's Past President, Dale Keep will be talking about "Successful Business Development Tips" at the upcoming 2017 Pacific Building Trade Expo on October 24, 2017 at the Hawaii Convention Center.  

Dale Keep will use his 24 years of experience to reveal tips and tricks that will lead to successful business development efforts. He will walk you through the cold call process, client interactions, getting follow up appointments, and most importantly, how to build relationships of trust. Dale will help you know what TO say and what NOT to say when talking with a client, and even give some live demonstrations.  His focus will be on the building trade industry and will teach five important steps that will lead to winning a project.  These aren’t“hard sell” techniques, Dale believes your relationship is key to your success… get to know your client and be yourself* (with a big asterisk).

Dale has 24 years of sales and business development experience.  He currently is the Business Development Manager at Layton Construction Company, LLC, a top general contractor in Hawaii.  He has a degree in Marketing and Advertising from BYU Provo. His professional affiliations include, Immediate Past-President of SMPS Hawaii, GCA Hawaii Board Member and Chair of the AIA/GCA Committee.  Before moving to Hawaii over 10 years ago, Dale ran his own Marketing, Advertising and Consulting business in Oregon.  Dale is married with three kids.
